More on the Big 'M'....

More on the Big 'M'....Not only did I get to see Frank perform with the rest of the cast of the 'Firewagon Hockey' Canadiens, but I was also able to watch the Montreal Voyageurs - who had recently relocated form Halifax - with players such as Peter Mahovlich, Steve Shutt and Michel 'Bunny' Larocque. They used to play on Saturday or Sunday afternoons in the old Forum, and I remember going there with my buddies and we'd pay $1.00 for general admission, way up in the upper deck, but we always moved lower. LOL!

Another plus, at the time, was being able to attend the games of the Montreal Junior Canadiens. They were in the OHA, at the time. I remember watching Rick Martin and Gilbert Perrault for the junior Habs, playing Marcel Dionne and the St. Catharines Blackhawks. All future superstars.

But the best part, for me, as a teenager, was the absolutely, incredibly, good tasting grilled hot dogs and buns that the Forum made. Man, they were so delicious!

Hey, hope you enjoy, my memories.
