RE: NDEP is a real pain in the a.....jimvicki.....Ontario enacted expensive water quality programs a few years ago after the Wakerton water problem. These were expensive, and now Ontario muicipalities have very expensive potable water to sell to their consumers .....even in Ontario....water is not cheap.
I spend a lot of time living in Florida, and what was enacted in Ontario could never be enacted in any state of the US because of politics. Florida has almost the same population as of all of Canada, they have a water problem...lack of it in certain areas. The enormous aquifirers in the states northern limestone area are been taken over by the bottled water interest who have control over the Florida state legislators. They pay a nominal initial fee for water rights, and bottle into the millions of bottles of water a day for free
Spring Creek Utility Co. has a problem......it's the politicians in Nevada who don't want to correct a situation because it will cost the participating taxpayers more money ....and that's politics in the US
