RE: telus closes retail operator servicesLikely this is merely ongoing ''strategic positioning'' Entwistle is doing in order to be very well prepared for the mother of all strikes next year.
With all these outsourced jobs plus the hundreds of scabs plus even more contractors all on the Telus payroll going into the strike next year Entwistle will really be able to finally put the screws to the TWU and finish off the job which was only partly completed during the last strike.
And this time around there won't be ANY strike fund dollars for the TWU coming from the CAW or any other big national unions since they all are getting hammered by the downturns in automotive, steel and forestry all at the same time and won't have any spare cash to lend the poor TWU.
Like I have said before, the upcoming head to head with the old diehard BC TWU membership is really what probably has kept Entwistle around rather than moving on by now.
And I sure am looking forward to it myself too!
