Just took a quick look at TRT...........Noticed the company because of the proxy fight, and finally did a preliminary dd.
Also must mention, i saw Sood on BNN; wouldn't like to say too much in case he sues, but ....on the basis of that performance, he wouldn't get a dime from me.
Re TRT; what a croc.
Five different 'start up' projects, all to be handled by one mini tiny underfinanced TRT.
The Russian wood thing is leaking money BIG time; the only good thing is that TRT only owns 25 odd %.
The two coal deals require massive funding, and are in far away places; botswana may be 'politically secure', for now, but south africa sure isn't.
Oh yeah, the big irrigated farming deal around Lake Diefenbaker; i just can't get too excited about it, and now we know that they are even short of capital for that one.
What the f does this company have going for it ?
Still some cash in the bank; they have cut their adm. expenses big time; some saleable assets....maybe...if you find someone who'll buy them for anything other than token bucks.
My guess, only a guess, is that Crow DEMANDED that expenses be cut, or he'd leave...he's finally realized that he's the company's biggest asset......and Ravi, grumbling, accepted.
Really hard to see a happy ending for this one; Ravi certainly isn't going to let go, and he's the genius who's put money into absurd projects spanning the globe, each one of which requires huge additional funding. That means that Crow will, eventually have to resign, to save whatever's left of his reputation, and once Crow goes, imho, it's over.
