soy protein contamination

soy protein contaminationThe article below is interesting in how it relates to what BXI does.It talks about how much of the soy protein used in foods ( including baby formulae) is contaminated by the chemical hexane. Hexane is presently used by most refiners in their process to extract soy protein from the meal. BXI uses HFC134 which, as eunice12 wrote-- HFC134-a is commonly used in air conditioners and refrigerators as a non-ozone-depleting substitute for CFCs and is registered in the US as GRAS. It is also used as the aspirant in asthma inhalers, for example.
If BXI can establish their patented process there appears to be potential to sell licenses for their process.
