Heads should be rolling. Every airline exec. should be firing those responsible for not implementing AFIRS. Look at all the money they have lost and they just just stay the status quo as far as their 70's technology. If all the information on weight savings alone is correct ( 10lbs vs 150lbs ) this is a no brainer.
