You’re 100% right, it could be more smoke and mirrors, but I am optimistic! I know I’m probably going to get bashed for what I’m about to say, but I think Severstal got exatley what they wanted, to increase their position cheaply without another private placement. I understand one of Severstal main objectives is to become a diversified mining company. Also in 2007 Mordashov's announced he wanted to become Russia's third or fourth largest gold producer, and wants to  integrate his gold businesses into one company within five years. But the with past year and a half being as hard as it was on Severstal I don’t think they have the means or want to buy High River any longer. However I do believe that with less then 4 months left in the year a higher share price from Higher River would look very good on the books for Severstal for their Q4.
