RE: RE: RE: RE: Whiners and Complainers?Once again it appears that you have read my last post with your rose coloured union glasses on__so let me try to clarify some issues better.
Yes, right now Telus and Bell are still nicely profitable__AS WERE THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS not that long ago__you do get the point now?
Furthermore, regarding the Big Three automakers, I did not state that the current woes have been brought on solely, as you put it, by the unionized workers now did I?
Yunno full well what I meant - and that is the excessive union gains over the years, especially in the benefits and defined benefit pension areas, greatly exacerbated the current depressed financial state of the auto sector.__And we all know that there certainly are other major factors which cumulatively with the union pressures have resulted in the current situation.
At least finally the CAW membership saw the light and have done their part and made the necessary adjustments, hopefully in time to save what few thousands of jobs are left here in Canada!__And this is what the TWU membership should remember well next year when they are talked into another strike next year!
Finally, I explicitly implied that the last TWU strike against Telus wasn't that much about actual wages but mostly about the benefits, pensions and especially working conditions/rules.__As no doubt will be the upcoming strike next year!
So are we clear now?
