1. Strong management. You don't want to finance someone's education, so look for a group that's done this before.

2. Good location. Ultimately, the company needs to make a business mining these rocks. Ideally, you want lots of rock with lots of metal in it.

3. Enough cash. The company needs to pay for explorationand keep the lights on. Look for a company that has enough cash tocover at least a year of operation.


That's funny, because I'd say they fill only one of these, maybe 2.....right now. But all 3??? NO WAY!! And I'm a long time share holder too.

I agree, they're STRONG on item #2. Homestake will prove there's lots of gold in THEM thar hills!
Enough cash?? Sure....for right now. Till they need another dose of shareholder dilution. And then you watch as old habits (for them) will prove to be hard to break, especially if there's no suitors no longer at the door. But that's not going to happen here as even though they haven't updated the NI43-101 resource estimate for Homestake Ridge IN YEARS, there's now too much gold & silver to ignore.
Another BIG difference between Ventana & Bravo?? From Ventana's website:

The Company has 10 rigs drilling on the property.

So....does that fall under item #3?? Or item #1????
