Decade primes market with drill-release teaser
2009-11-13 15:27 ET - News Release
Mr. Ed Kruchkowski reports
DECADE RESOURCES LTD.: CORPORATE UPDATE
Decade Resources Ltd. will release assay results will for another 10holes from the Red Cliff drilling early next week. Assay results fromthe six holes on the Little Pat fraction and four holes from the LyddenCreek drill pad will be released. A total of 36 holes were completed onthe Montrose zone, primarily on the northern portion of the structure.Due the early winter snows, the drills and crews were pulled off theproperty and all assaying is being completed under normal assayprocedures rather than rush assaying. Following release of the next setof results, there are 13 drill holes currently being logged, sampledand prepared for shipment to the assay lab.
The company is in the process of acquiring a large propertyunderlain by Kuroko-type VMS copper-gold mineralization in the Kitimatarea of British Columbia. Chalcopyrite-gold mineralization isassociated with volcanic rocks that contain conformable, tabular zonesof disseminated pyrite up to 60 metres wide. The pyritic horizons areassociated with felsic volcanic units and are similar to pyritichorizons associated with many felsic-related volcanogenic massivesulphide deposits including the Kutcho Creek deposit in BritishColumbia and deposits hosted by the sicker group on Vancouver Island.Massive sulphide-type showings on the property area have beenidentified, over a distance of about nine kilometres within a150-metre-thick horizon containing felsic rocks. Decade will releasefurther information in the coming weeks as it secures surroundingground.
Decade plans to immediately conduct a program including soilsampling, mapping and prospecting using the existing logging roads inthe area. The company is applying for the necessary permits to conducta drill program on the property as soon as possible. Due to the lowtopography and favourable location, the company feels that explorationcan continue through the winter months.
Ed Kruchkowski, PGeo, a qualified person under NationalInstrument 43-101, is in charge of the exploration program on behalf ofthe company. All samples are assayed by Assayers Canada of Vancouver,B.C.
