   Have to agree with you.  my middle class upbringing shielded me from a lot. In my sawmill days I met a gent from Hungary. After the war he said you could get part of a chicken for a wedding band of gold. Money of any sort was just no good.,excepting those coins ect that actually had gold or silver in them. To that end I always check my change for the old silver. I am getting one or two a year. usually a dime or a quarter. I like to take the opportunity then to demonstrate to whomever I am with at the time, how the bad money drives out the good. 
  And yes , I think the process of absorbing the weaker companies will ultimately  forge a very strong company, which I hope to be an investor in.
 I look forward to the future plays, however I was wondering what you meant by the ''flattening of the straw''
