Projects - Overview
Plato currently has three active projects in various stages ofexploration. They are referred to as the Timmins Gold Project, the Vald'Or Project and the Lolita Project.
The Timmins Gold Project,formerly referred to as the Guibord, Harker, Holloway and MarriottProject, are located in the Timmins-Kirkland Lake area in the westernportion of the prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt. In 2007, theHarker-Garrison claims were added to the project.
The Val d'Or Projectstarted in 2006 as the Nordeau Bateman Project as a result of anoptions agreement to acquire 100% interest in the 44 claims. Sincethen, as of February 2008, the company has acquired a total of 266claims in the area representing 5,430 hectares strategically locatedadjacent to a number of historic gold deposits and past producing minesin the Val d’Or gold camp in Northern Quebec.
The Lolita Project is theresult of a joint venture agreement in 2007 with Dr. Paul Lhotka toacquire, through staking, 29,904 hectares known as the Lolita Propertyin the province of Santa Cruz in south-central Argentina.
TheProvince of Santa Cruz in Argentina has emerged as one of the mostsuccessful jurisdictions for mineral exploration in South America. Ithas attracted interest from junior and senior exploration companiesworldwide resulting in the construction of four new precious metalmines.
