RE: Star made a release... our turn...Our turn will come when AMA develops the new improved version of AFIRS. As a potential customer I would want the new version. The old one has limitations that the new one will resolve imo. If the old version was offered with a " free swap " to the new box ... maybe contracts would follow ?
I think the companies long range vision has been short sighted in the past. Not to be disrespectful as I believe that management has been doing a great job at not taking on too much all at once. Last year I had asked management if they had looked at implementing their products in the marine industry market. The response was " no, our focus is on the airline industry only " Ok .. I went away thinking, I guess there is no market for this in a marine application. Now that L3 is showing the way management is listening.
My idea of a free upgrade makes sense if this is what is holding up contracts. Wouldn't it be an easy swap to change the box once the new version is available. All the necessary wiring would already be in place. Hope someone is listening. Also they should give the fuel management system for free on the provision that they split the fuel savings 50 / 50 . This could be benchmarked on past consumption and is a win / win . It's putting their money where their mouth is .
