RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Help on drill results

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Help on drill resultsNot sure how many posters know exactly what a pit wall caving really means or how CSI can get drill results from the bottom of the pit without actually drillig a 90 degree hole.
The pit wall caved because it wasn't engineered and properly supported with benches etc..It later flooded due to ground water and natural rain fall over the ensuing years. In any event, it is an expensive and lengthly process to pump the water out a pit of that size. As well, environmental issues have to be addresd when introducing pit water into the surrounding jungle/ rivers, even in Brazil. This water would be contaminated with higher than normal levels of Mercury, Arsnic and other nasty metals associated with various ores.
So, one might ask if drilling a 90 degree hole from the bottom of the pit is time consuming because of the water and caving, then how can CSI get drill results from that area? Well, if you do some research on diamond drill hole wedging  you will see that some of the existing holes near the walls of the pit can be dirverted by using wedges to get core from this area. However, I think that they already good information from this area from historic drilling results.
