RE: RE: RE: Risky wildcat-sliderI can think of one reason. VST and Jay Garner were the reason the block was awarded to them not NKO. The block would also only be awarded to VST if they had a serious partner with serious cash, this is where Niko came in. You have things reversed, Jay Garner is the reason VST had a voice and VST is the reason why Niko now has a stake in Kurdistan.
Also enlighten everyone on your 1 in 10 chance of commercial development.... are these world wide statistics? or are they even statistics at all? because in Kurdistan companies seem to be in agreement that there is a near 80 %chance of discovery and with time almost all these discoveries will move into commercial development (once infrastructure is in place). Everyone should also take into consideration that producing oil in this area costs a mere $2 a barrel. In Alberta it will cost 40-80 dollars a barrel.
Why don't some of you spend some time researching the geology of the area as well, from my research and understanding it weighs heavily in favor of VST. The Qara Dagh is on trend with existing discoveries, the Zagros fold belt rarely disappoints and is largely unexplored in North East Kurdistan. Remember the Zagros fold belt extends from North West Kurdistan all the way into Iran with numerous oil discoveries contained with in it.
Many companies in the region have stated technical risks are minimal and political risks are high, but logic has to creep in and expose the fact that both political party's will not risk the amount of money at stake due to long held grudges. Times are different since the occupation of 2003, the oil companies have moved in and nothing is going to stop the profits from rolling in. In conclusion if technical risks are minimal, political risks being a logical joke and diminishing daily what risks are we dealing with exactly? I can think of one, whether it is oil or gas. Good luck folks, this could be a life changing play for some.
