VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jan 06, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX News Network)

Silver Quest Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: SQI) (the "Company") is pleased to provide an update on Richfield Ventures Corp.'s, ("Richfield") latest drill program which was completed in November 2009 on the Davidson Property, located approximately 110 kilometres southwest of Vanderhoof, BC. Richfield has the right to earn 75% of the Davidson Property, (see news release dated March 24, 2009) which forms part of Richfield's "Blackwater Project". Please see the company's website www.silverquest.ca for a property location map and a detailed project description.

Richfield recently released assay results for drill holes BW 58 and BW 59. BW 58 was collared across the boundary between ground optioned by Richfield from private parties and ground optioned from the Company. The bottom portion of the hole, including the intervals listed below, terminates on Silver Quest's Davidson property. The hole intersected massive andesite with lapilli tuff towards the bottom of the hole.

BW 59 is located entirely within the Company's Davidson property. It is a vertical hole collared about 270 metres northwest of BW 46 (1.06 g/t Au over 207.25 metres) and drilled to a 336.2 metre depth. This hole intersected siliceous breccia with small intervals of chloritized andesite and lapilli tuff. BW 59 averaged 1.25 g/t gold and 3.5 g/t silver across 329.2 metres.

Significant assay intervals relating to the Davidson option, as reported by Richfield, are:
