RE: RE: Really abhor Atna management....

RE: RE: Really abhor Atna management....(I never ran a gold mine so what do I know).....they could do a heck of a lot better job in their press releases. Why not just tell us the year end production rate is, even if it is short of the 40,000 ounce mark? Regarding trying to figure out what the production rate is, don't  forget about the first quarter production. Looking at the third quarter MDA report on SEDAR (dated 11/16/2009) they state that gold ounces mined was 16,853 thru the third quarter, with 9,141 mined in the first quarter. (This is on page 2). That would put the year end production rate close to 30,000 ounces. (24,272 -16,853 = 7,419 * 4 = 29,676) It seems that the 40,000 ounce production goal will be reached in early April. (But I'm not sure I know what I'm talking about, it would be nice to get a little help from the company on these things).

Another gripe I have with the latest press release is, they state cash operating costs are increasing 6 percent at Briggs, and 8 percent at Reward. Fine. But unless I missed it, they don't say what the new dollar figure per ounce is.  Why not just tell us what the new cost is per ounce? (I assume Reward now is figured at a "cash cost" around $480 and Briggs a little north of $500, but I might not know what the heck I am talking about. Again, a little help from the company would be nice).

And I sent an e-mail to them regarding what was the cost they paid to obtain the 1.5 percent net royalty interest on Pinson and they never responded back. I guess we have to wait until the 10K comes out in late March. Again, it would be nice if they really were interested in "shareholder value" and didn't just pay lip service to it. Just my opinion.
