RE: Drill Rig Size and Drill Depth ?
RE: Drill Rig Size and Drill Depth ?The drill that is in place is more than adequate to drill the existing sidetrack well. However I take it you have not been reading too many of the posts as they did hit a high pressure zone at 4077 meters which gave them a tremendous amount of difficulty. They will therefore sidetrack down to a depth approximately 100 meters less than the high pressure depth. They have a tremendous amount of money invested in this well and have a major gas deposit already confirmed. The sidetrack which will be complete likely within the month will reveal what many of us are hoping is an elephant sized oil deposit. It is obviously a significant find as the company is going to great lengths and cost to have this section tested.
With respect to how they will test the Qumchaga Zone which appears to be the start of the high pressure we should leave that question open to someone like Captain Nelson.
