the answer is yes..... there are a number of similarly advanced and further advanced project than Leadbetter..... the issue is that even if they all come on stream sucessfully there will still be a shortage due to the fact that existing producing larger mines are all approaching the end of their lives...

production which could come on stream in mid term - depending on funding, economics, politics etc

AK6 - 9m cts @ +$150/ct

Star/Orion - 32m ct indicated @~$200/ct

Renard - Advancing - 12m resource @ $125/ct
Grib - +60m cts @ $110/ct

Gahcho Kue - 51m ct indicated @ $90/ct

note that Leadbetter potentially has more carats than all the above combined.....

there are other advanced exploration projects that could also progress - again DOR looks like the easiest mine to make in terms of costs, political & legal environment etc....
