RE: oldlady 62 - bigbrain

RE: oldlady 62 - bigbrainHBM has copper deposits, including big Reed Lake, and concentrators to process
such base metal as copper and zinc.
Now HBM will proceed to mine Lalor Lake, and eventually Reed Lake, to get at the gold.
Now what do you think will happened to the copper? Put it back into the ground?
HBM is in the copper business and they will sell copper concentrate. They can also ship
the copper to any smelters in North America to be processed further.
Being in the copper business I would think that HBM needs all the copper that it can get.
The demand, worldwide, is much bigger for copper than zinc.

Like you said "HBM&S is not going turn a turn a blind eye to any potential mine intheir neighborhood".

Most mining operations in Canada ship their production to a smelter not necessarily located
where mining is taking place.
Customers buy copper concentrate and refined copper by the thousands of tonnes.
HBM therefore needs copper big time.

We have a mine and then some.
