RE: RE: FYI - on BBC world news today -Redphoenix - The June China trade figures DO represent the market looking to the future - as seen from the perspective of a number of months back , in the early part of this year , when the theory that declining European imports would impact China.
What the BBC news item is saying is - that early statistics are indicating the theory of a significant decline in China's exports is so far not materialising. Now granted it is still early days - and it will be important to see if the figures for July, August and September continue those of June.
Personally I think the decline hasnt happened because people - even in difficult economic times - continue to buy the mostly small ticket items that China provides. What they do stop buying is discretionary/big ticket items.
