RE: bu versus bxi
A couple of things here. First, never ever become married to a stock. You are well past exchanging spit with this one. I, and many others can attest to the folly of that.
Secondly, you should be rejoicing in the fact that BXI has, or is about to, produce canola isolates which will bring in cash and in due course will enter the human food supply.
The reason that this should excite you is that you now know it can be done. If BU BODs are on the ball, they now can go it alone without ADM. Any deal with them, and believe me I know, will favour them not BU. Most importantanly, in that scenerio, ADM controls the time frame. I am, and soon won't be, concerned that the biggest market for canola isolates is the market that is now being served by that chemical concoction known as Soy Concentrates. ADM are huge in that market. Are they going to want to kill a highly mature and highly profitable part of their business? Think about it.
It should be much easier for BU to just take the BXI. business plan and go finance their own plant(s) and control their own destiny. The analogy would be the fact that you and I would not likely invest in Orville and Wilbur Wright's first airplane. However, when the thing flew, we would line up to invest in the second guy to come along with a plan. Do you understand what I am saying?
As it stands now, we have no idea if a deal will ever be consummated and if and when a plant will be built. If BU has the balls to procede on their own, I might just buy back in.
