Alternate Symbol(s):  ONCY

Oncolytics Biotech Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company. The Company is focused on developing pelareorep, an intravenously delivered immunotherapeutic agent that activates the innate and adaptive immune systems and weakens tumor defense mechanisms. This compound induces anti-cancer immune responses and promotes an inflamed tumor phenotype turning cold tumors hot through innate and adaptive immune responses to treat a variety of cancers. This improves the ability of the immune system to fight cancer, making tumors more susceptible to a broad range of oncology treatments. The Company’s primary focus is to advance its programs in hormone receptor-positive / human epidermal growth factor 2- negative (HR+/HER2-) metastatic breast cancer and advanced/metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma to registration-enabling clinical studies. In addition, it is exploring opportunities for registrational programs in other gastrointestinal cancers through its GOBLET platform study.

Squamous cell

Squamous cell

I would like to expand my comments on the Squamous cell indications.  I believe that Brad is confident at this point that Reo will work well on all these indications wherever they are in the body. Before the Head and Neck trial Brad was hopefull but not confident that Reolysin could make the cut, IMHO. His emphasis in in the last couple of conference calls has been how similar the cells are only in different parts of the body. I was also on the fence but everything points to success in my opinion in these cell lines. I'm confident that results in first line patients will be even more pronounced when we get a chance to try it. I'm still not sure about other indications but we only need one to really have a winner and my seven years of waiting will all be worth it.
