Axia Netmedia Corporationannounced today that it has nothing to say.
“While there is continuedactivity in Alberta, France and Singapore, we don’t think there is anythinghappening that would be of interest to shareholders or the market,” said asource within the company who asked to remain anonymous. “Normally, growingcompanies engage in active PR campaigns to keep stakeholders and otherinterested parties up to speed on company activity, but we prefer to be quietand let everyone play a guessing game. This approach results in dramaticallyfewer media enquiries, and simultaneously prevents active trading in thestock.”
Recent elections inAustralia - where Axia may or maynot be in ongoing discussions with unknown parties regarding participation inthe development of a country-wide high-speed network – have altered thepolitical dynamic, but we’re not inclined to provide investors any informationabout our activity there, said the source. “As was the case with the Palo Altoand Newfoundland/Labrador discussions, the less we say the higher thelikelihood over time that everyone will forget we mentioned thoseopportunities.”
The source added thatannouncing Axia’s partnership with Vodaphone in New Zealand was a difficultdecision. “It required numerous telephone and email discussions about what tosay in a news release. Thankfully, that process is behind us and we canre-focus our energies on doing the important things there and elsewhere that wedon’t want to tell anyone about.”
Inkeeping with that philosophy, the source didn’t announce that Axia commencedpublishing of a corporate blog August 16, 2010. When asked about the blog, thesourced said: “We didn’t announce that. How did you find out about it? Ifanyone else stumbles across the blog, we would appreciate them not sending anemail link to anyone revealing the location of the blog, or any of theinformation contained in any post there.”
