RE: Shell Project for the Clean up Tailing Ponds?

All the big players are looking at various methods of tailings clean up. TIC's technology has various benefits as you can read on their website. My take would be that this technology would compliment any end result clean up as there would be less tailings to deal with, plus the benefits of CO2 reduction and water conservation. As you see in Shell's article it is only dealing with a fraction of of tailings at a time. So one system could compliment the other. Add to that the bitumin recovery not to mention zircon and titanium. The key factors are more test results  and the green light from at least one company. If this comes to pass financing should be easy. This company has had some delays with downturn etc. but maybe they are on the cusp with the pilot project in full swing.
