Currently-FWIW
Currently-FWIWNo bad news to report, drill has side tracked, and has just penetrated the deep Cretaeous zone. Seems like Niko has the experience in dealing with all the risks of high pressure, H20 gas, etc. Niko 's AGM Sept 9, 2010 should give us an official NR about current progress on the Kurdistan project. Niko did lose a month due to drilling problems, but seems to be on track. For now, we know some evidence of hydrocarbons- as indicated by the significant mud gas showings, (see Niko report-MD and A- and Ed Sampson's comments)Estimated completion of the testing phase, 6-8 weeks IMO- I would be very surprised if Niko concludes, no commercial viability.
