put in your sales orders

put in your sales ordersWhile I have not confirmed this for CDN orders, out of habit, I always place my long shares into a sale order, even at an unreasonably high amount. At least on US stocks, this seems to tie them up so that your broker cannot lend them to short sellers.

What can you do to prevent your shares holdings from being shorted?
