S&P/ASX 200

The S&P/ASX 200 rose today by 1.95% or 89.60 points closing at 4676.20. From 200 companies, 68 shares ended green compared to 117 ending in red and 15 unchanged. Sectors leading the incline were the financials that gained 36.19 points and basic materials that gained 30.06 points.

Cudeco Ltdinclined the most today as it rose 9.56% closing at 4.01 Australian dollars, followed by Regis Resources Ltd surging 8.96% closing at 2.19 Australian dollars, and Mirabela Nickel Ltd that surged by 6.25% closing at 1.79 Australian dollars.

Lagging shares today included Hastie Group Ltd that retreated 4.31% closing at 1.00 Australian dollars, trailed by Intrepid Mines Ltd loosing 3.98% closing at 2.17 dollars. And Metcash Ltd that fell 1.88% closing at 4.17 Australian dollars.
