I've bought and sold bbd.b few times over past few years....as she has sort of been stuck in a trading range...and with current tax loss selling pressure...stock is down near the bottom of it's trading range. Predict you'll see a good 20-40% SP appreciation in 2011....on top of the dividend.
I really like the Bomadier story. IMHO...they're the world leader in their industry...making best in class fuel efficient next generation trains and planes....which is what both the developed and developing nations want....and they have a huge backlog. Going forward...as the world economy contnues to improve...we'll continue to see increased demand for all their different divisions ...including exec jets....and i believe the C series is going to be a big hit!!!
Suspect Boeing and Airbus are in panic mode...and desperately trying to patch together some version of a more fuel efficient narrow body jet they can throw out in an attempt to avoid losing huge chunk of the market. But C-Series will have huge first mover advanatage!
So...again...yes....i think it's a great time to load up on BBD.B shares! Hard to go wrong at these prices:)
