RE: no silver for you...

RE: no silver for you...In one of the Silver Wolves coins I purchased yesterday from the Kitco precious metal store, I noticed when I arrived home a tiny scratch---very, very tiny---on the coin.  It's no big deal at all, really---heck, my wife can't even spot it unless I point it out to her.  However, I am a bit on the picky side.  So I called up the store this morning to inquire about exchanging it.  They very politely told me that it's no problem at all.  Except, they said . . . I better not wait too long to exchange it because Silver Maple Leaf and Silver Wolves coins are in very low supply right now; they can't guarantee they will have any next week.

Btw, I read the other day that the U.S. Congress is considering passing legislation to limit production of Silver Eagle coins.   Production is based on consumer demand ... and demand has increased manyfold over the last few years.  The American government isn't too crazy about the rising demand for pure silver coins as it sees this as a nonconfdence act against its fiat---bullsh-t---currency.

Indeed, no silver . . . .
