With regards to the first part of your comment I'm assuming you are joking as China has plainly stated they are cutting back on their exports of strategic metals.
The second part of your comment is partly true, that is long term, there is no shortage, problem is, it is all in the ground and will take time to dig it up.
Molycorp will fill in any demand for the lights in 2012 but there will still be demand for the heavies until QRM, AVL, REE, ect. reaches production and that is a long way off.
So, if you feel you missed the Rare Earth boat then hop aboard as these corrections are providing you with a good buying opportunity.
