Murphy's law strikes again

Murphy's law strikes again
So another lightning bolt makes a direct hit. Murphy's law seems to apply to every aspect of this company again and again.

Now we are getting a lesson on political risk. Let's hope the military is guarding the country's oil assets and they do it well. I have been watching coverage on the BBC and it doesn't look good but there was a girl interviewed in Tunis by phone who said it wasn't really all that bad so who knows. The video clip I saw seemed to show mass looting and destruction by unruly mobs of protesters and the leader has reportedly fled to Saudi Arabia after looting the country's treasury.

The unrest may be confined to the city for now so our field assets may be out of harms way. Hard to tell for sure. Be nice if someone could do a better job of investigating that then I have.

In any case let's hope things calm down soon - no doubt it has had a de-stabilizing effect on candax because news of the restructuring is overdue. With any luck the deal will close this week - hopefully they just wanted to make sure all their people got out safely before making any announcements.

Sooner or later something has to go right doesn't it? I mean surely the law of averages will catch up with us and we will have a long string of successes.
