RE: RE: RE: RE: PROS AND CONS
I'm interested in an acknowledgment made by maliki concerning oil in iraq v kurdistan :
He stated : The oil ministry accepted these contracts because the nature of the extraction in Kurdistan is different from Basra," Maliki told AFP in an interview on Saturday, referring to Iraq's oil-rich southern province.
"There is a need for bigger efforts there, while in Basra it (oil) is closer to the surface. It's difficult to have service contracts in Kurdistan but it's normal to have them in southern Iraq," he added.
So we have 6 million acres to find oil that could in fact be sitting on th surface ...so exploration & drilling costs if we are fortunate to discover pools of oil like DNO found ,,,,see pic will at a very low ate.

Also as previously posted we have a huge competitive advantage as we are the first to gain exclusive rights to this heavily unexplored region. Ivanhoe energy have been in negotiation since 2004 to explore for heavy oil with the chinese & we trump them with a priceless and opportunist deal to land an exclusive contract. Management at it's best .....who knows we may have more to follow ?
I would suspect many are very envious of such a deal and once we start defining a strategy going forward this will add more credence to our growth story.
Also no one has added that oil is currently heading to $100 which means that any possible high stream production in Q3 could generate significant cash flow and negate further dilution to the shareholder.
Good luck all ...i just hope it does not pop b4 i can buy in low 30's.
