Job Description
- Be the subject matter specialist at Route1 on products development and system design techniques, patterns, and system architecture;
- Design and implement new features of Route1 products;
- Develop Route1 product with adherence to the best coding practice to create robust code;
- Develop expertise in different components of Route1 products;
- Provide technical leadership to more junior software developers;
- Interact with technical leader to understand the requirements, propose a design and implement the solution;
- Develop and maintain test infrastructure for Unit test of the Product;
- Follow up on latest trends in S/W development tools, environments, techniques for evaluation them on Route1 development environment;
- Document software designs via functional specifications and other design documents;
- Participate in all phases of development, QA, and deployment, especially dealing with reproducing and addressing findings during test cycle;
- Be proactive in feature design analysis for stability and performance;
- Address problems on system integration and system performance;
- Lead team activities on Product quality improvement;
- Provide input for effort estimation for new and ongoing solution completion;
- Attend and/or undertake skill improvement technical training to further your expertise.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Senior Java/J2EE Software Developer with at least 10 years experience in high availability software and system implementation based on J2EE architecture framework & design patterns.
- Must have experience with asynchronous communications and network protocols and concepts.
- 5 or more years using Oracle 9i or 10g DBMS
- Strong knowledge in Source Management and Build Management using Ant Scripting or Maven.
- Must be familiar with PKI and security concepts
- Must have expertise solving complex technical problems.
- Must demonstrate ability to multi-task in a fast-paced software development environment.
- Must be familiar and fond of structured Software Development Life Cycle process and procedure.
- Must become a significant contributor to mentoring junior developers.
