the wonder chip POET has a multitude of applications.. a fiber optics company could short circuit the large chip makers and j/v with OPL... it may be more than rumor cause it actually makes sense. POET changes how things are done.. JDS has always been known as an innovator... the first step is to get into the POET game so you can profit as it is being transformed into diverse applications... heck yes i'd say more optical companies than just JDS is interested!! It will be fun to see this progress and share prices go crazy.....
