Iam sale

Iam saleIts official-Iam has sold their interests in Tarkwa and Damang for $667mm.  By way of comparisom our total market cap is less than 10% of that.  Intrestingly Goldfields has said that they are going to cosolidate their producing assets and seek to own the assets that remain 100%-exactly the same corporate strategy that Iam announced a few months ago.  Iam is now sitting on over a BILLION dollars in cash and equivilants.  Iam is down 6% today-the market doesn't like idle cash.  Hopefully the next step in consolidating assets-from an Iam perspective-is to take out one of their more promising juniour partners in Mali.   If the potential of Siribaya is fully realized they could replace the production that they just sold-and considerably more-for half the price
