RE: td
RE: tdFirst of all, i'm not a lawyer. I thought about reporting this to the OSC but looked into it first. Manipulation of a stock's price is illegal, if it can be proven. That is a big if as this stock is thinly traded. This kind of stock manipulation is hard to prove. Keep in mind that its not likely TD itself but someone, or a bunch of people more likely, using TD as a broker. So we could complain, they could look in to it, that would be publicity, potentially bad and some day, somebody could get slapped on the wrist.
Then I thought ... presumably they want the same thing as you (and I) for the stock price to go up long term. Potentially someone, maybe a small manager is slowly collecting stock and wants it low until they get done acquiring however much they want to acquire. How many of us has benefitted from the stock price being kept low for so long? Most probably a lot of us. I opted to hang in and wait as I believe this is temporary and BZA will move. Complaining could be worse.
Besides, if you believe the supposed information coming directly from BZA, which is also seems a bit illegal, and you act on it, you are actually also allegedly breaking the law as well ... just sayin'.
Buy on rumour, sell on news ... hopefully soon.
