Biggest Bear Raid I have seenBear Raid is a sudden deep plunge in the SP, with a rapid rebound in minutes (maybe seconds). By the time you recover from the shock of the plunge it is too lake to pull your stop loss or buy in.
The worst one I saw was over a year ago on SLI. I would post the chart if I could find one as the one I use only lets me see the last year - even then there is clear evidence of several Bear Raids. In 2009 SLI went quickly up to $2 and the Bear Raid dropped it to $1.02 then back to $1.80 in flash.
Better to have a stink bid in place instead of a stop loss - might catch a fat bear, lol
