In any case if you are familiar with takeovers, there is usually a NEWCO created to hold the assets that the buyer does not want.

I am disappointed to see them split the company this way at this time.  No need for it.  Odd lots are going to hurt current holders.

So IF (and that is a VERY big IF) a buyer surfaces, then the Company would split off assets the buyer does not want into a Newco.  Pretty standard.

I Hate recourse to gimmicks to try to prop up the share price.  Does not often work.

Good luck to those that will hold throughout this split process.  Will re-assess in a few months.
