Scale up? That would be like taking a 2000 barrel a day unit and scaling it to a 10,000 barrel a day unit and then taking that someplace and proving it under real world operating conditions. Oh what am I saying that’s what they are doing NOW! LOL
As far as further scale up I would think that most engineers could figure out how to put in a connecting pipe to two 10,000 barrel a day units to get 20,000 barrel a day capacity.
Since they have already been successfully working with a wide range of wastewater feeds including at least some of the types that you describe I think that they will continue to identify the challenges they handle best and concentrate on those.
While you state that 100,000 barrel a day capacity is not very much I am not aware of any single facility that would require that capacity in any of the applications currently being proposed by the company. If you mean 10,000 barrels a day – which is the size of the unit currently being used in Vancouver - that unit might only handle the process water from 50 to 200 wells but if you need more capacity add a pipe – add a valve – add another H2Omaxx. I am sure the company would work very hard to supply as many as needed.
Lastly you mention that there are many companies in the bilge water treatment game. You are absolutely right. Does that mean that there is no room for another process that works? If that were the case there would not be all these other companies out there would there? There would be one company.
I am sure that given the flexibility and throughput for the footprint that the H2Omaxx has there will be plenty of opportunities to grab a good market share in several markets. As I mentioned in my earlier post I have had the opportunity to see some bilge treatment systems NOT working so I know there is room for one that does the job. We seem to be doing pretty good so far.
