Both of you stated that those that bought the warrants were equal to shares being traded which is incorrect. You can buy and sell warrants on trade, you can also buy the warrants in the hope the share price rockets up beyond the warrant price thereby making a profit when you exercise them. Many will buy the warrants for a couple of cents just on that gamble but it doesn't mean all will be exercised. However those that wish to buy a large number (more then 500K) of shares it would be smarter to buy the warrants as opposed to the open market as the later purchase would undoubtedly have to buy up into the market.
