RE: Pine Tree Capital

RE: Pine Tree CapitalThanks waterboy!
Just trying to provide some insight to this stock. Likewise if you found what I had to say useful could you please rate it so that others may take notice?
I should mention that when working in market it is a little easier to hear these type of things as the brokers who do the trading for these big position moves talk. This is referred to as being kept in the flow of trades. Broker houses use their knowledge of who is selling, size of order, position size guess to determine what the over hang of a stock might be and pass it on to buy side investment firms.
wwmeinc brought up the question, why liquidate now?
I thought I would go ahead and try and give a bit of food for thought. Large funds often have to change their allocations to a certain sector irrespective of company fundamentals. This can be due to large client requests to trying to raise cash over all for the fund. Another potential reason for this liquidation might be a change in the fund manager, different managers will have different opinions of how much of a position, if any, they wish to hold.
Happy Investing!
