RE: Google's acquisition of MMIGood one Cabbie.  STrong indicator that Google is still on the prowl for a lot of patents.

When that deal happened, I thot at the time that Google should be buying IDCC and not Motorola, but this explanation indicates to me that they had to buy Motorola to protect their customers far moreso than to protect themselves directly.  It will be interesting to see where the IDCC patents go b/c there will be compeitiion for them you can bet.  The best thing is with a combined MSD//WIN we are in the same league as IDCC and in some respects better.
