all very true alfalfa++ the UN this week has put big sanctions against Eritrea for supporting Somalia Rebels....Glad we are in Ethiopia....Anyone that still doubts that Allana will eventually mine the SOP should: Email Farhad and get him to confirm his comment on the conference call...where he said it is likely that Allana will mine the shallow and rich Sylvenite KCL layer first...(10 years of sylvenite to mine...and lots of time to figure out the SOP solution mining options..maybe open pitt) or  talk to those that are qualified to comment. Geologists with a metalurgical background would be a good starting point.  Someone qualified could be asked about the chemical similarities and diferences from Kainite and Halite...IC Potash plans to solution mine their deposit where the primary potash is halite....let us know what you find out.
And yes, PIGS are a big deal...imho...a much bigger issue than "how" AAA will mine the SOP...not a concern to most here.
The Chinese middle class in growing and their abiltiy to buy better quality food...the Chinese appetite for protein is increasing each year....and PIGS...eat alot of grains...and those grains need alot of potash to maximize yeilds...so imho....PIGS are an important cog in the wheel of the future for fertilizer producers like Allana.
Whether we ever mine the SOP is not material at this stage...the market has not given a fair value for the MOP we have...the SOP separates us from the herd and allows us to mine into a tight market niche at some point in the future...the PEA may help give some direction...and next year the BFS will definately give perspective on the SOP options.
