Could be portfolio shifting? I'm long term bullish on Avion (like you didn't know that) but, even I have been looking at some other plays who are way off highs above Avion. My thinking though is when golds do finally reverse trend people are more likely to invest in the plays in the composite first. Doesn't mean these other stocks won't get back there but, with the increase production and increasing resources if gold stays above $1400 then we should make a new high. Whether that will be now or closer to end of year your guess is as good as mine. Definitely gonna be a volatile one again based on the first couple weeks.
