Wintersun10:

"perhaps a stupid question, but they drilled the hole in the ground, first time fraccing failed, what is stopping them from fraccing twice? or three times for that matter?"

Obviously I don't know this answer, but one could assume there was damage done (casing or otherwise), and they would have to re-enter from a different point if they wanted to be able to do all 23 fracs successfully.  I'm assuming also this is quite cost prohibitive, as it is almost like starting over again.  Better to start a new well and leave it at that.  This was not good, other than it has likley proven that all wells in this area will be successful, assuming problems like this don't arise again.  So it's a good long term result (proving up the area has good gas liquids and the like), with short term not being so great (small success in comparison to what could have been).

Good luck to you and to all,

x
