CUPRIC CANYON CAPITAL owns 11.15% Cupric Canyon Capital, LLC (CCC) is a private company owned by management and the Barclays Natural Resource Investments division of Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank PLC. The company is focused on acquiring copper assets, both developed and undeveloped, and using management’s unique experience and skill set to add value to them.
They’re all ex-Phelps Dodgers who have spent most of their careers working in copper and are now banding together with the backing of Barclays Natural Re- source Investments, a division of Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank, to develop promising copper deposits.
The strategy of the start-up, called Cu- pric Canyon Capital, is to take projects through the development process (scop- ing, prefeasibility and feasibility), and ultimately exit via a sale or an initial public offering.
