RE: YC Gov 2011 exploration overview. I agree Hiker (and Touareg), this used to be a fine board. But we really can't expect to maintain that type of banter with a price chart like ATC's. Most current shareholders are not exactly flush with profits (save for those that positioned themselves pre summer 2010).
What makes a happy board? The best one I've seen on StockHouse was the VIA board (Virginia Gold - now VGQ)......for obvious reasons. It started out slow, until the discovery of Eleonore' at Roberto....and like ATC began to release impressive numbers. Knowledgeable folks got onboard and pressed the positive side until Goldcorp announced its TO offer 16 months later. My point: these boards are doomed to deteriorate unless there's a non stop flow of positive news - in the case of VIA, it was one positive report followed by another, culminating in a fat TO offer. ATC has fallen flat because it got ahead of itself and exploration did not result in any new discoveries. Now the Riff-Raff have taken over pressing the negatives i.e. limited access to the discovery area, lack of infrastructure in the region, inclement weather, limited exploration season. (A dare to said Riff-Raff........I dare ya to hold, or increase, your shorts into the late Spring early Summer).
Solution: someone starts a private forum where we all gather to discuss ideas; but not limited to a strictly positive bias. Let's face it.......if we all gathered together in person and discussed ATC last Fall, I doubt we would've been 100% positive on the co's developments. In fact, I'm sure many of us would've been downright negative on certain developments.
