It is always good to see someone elses point of view, but that is just what it is, your point of view and your opinion.
I understand the 2 articles you presented and I see your points and the journalists points presented, however, I can find just as many on the WEB that back what I believe. I do not trust politicians.....they remind me of lawyers, but on a different scale. But that doesn't really matter, you choose to believe who you want to.
The fact is the media has everyone by the balls. Facts about WMD, who said what, conspiracy theories and why war is necessary are all twisted around by the media and each of us has to choose what they believe.
So, why do I believe?
I choose to believe that Iran is a threat because of my family that is living in Israel. What they have told me and shown me over the last 8 or 9 months leads me to my opinion. The fact that they are scared sh%#less and are planning on moving to Canada shows me just how bad it is and how bad it could get over there.
I also see the Iranian side of it through a good friend of mine and his family that moved to Canada several years ago. They tell me - "The hatred of not only Israel, but of any western nation is preached on a daily basis in the country through their media which is strictly regulated by the government." They also tell me that it is no secret in Iran that the Regime wants nuclear capability and will try to get it at any cost.
On a side note -My buddies father can never go back to Iran as he decided he did not want to be in the military, that is why they left. If he goes back, they will cut off one of his hands for being a deserter.
Crazy stuff.
