Senegal to stabilize This is big. As of yesterday, all candidates from the first round of the election are now backing Sall in the runoff election. Remember, Sall was Special Advisor for Energy and Mines for Wade, who he is about to replace.
This could not end any better for OLE. Senegal will continue as a stable democracy. Sall should step up to the commitments made by Wade's government (Sall was heavily involved) to OLE, and Chet can get the business sold. Watch OLE share price climb from here...
DAKAR (Reuters) - Senegal opposition candidates who combined won over 65 percent of the ballot in a first round presidential election rallied on Saturday behind Macky Sall to challenge incumbent President Abdoulaye Wade in the second round on March 25.
All 12 other candidates who ran against Wade in the first round, and civil society group M-23, which has been calling on Wade to step down, pledged to campaign and call on their supporters to vote for Sall.
